We see parents as partners, listening to, and valuing the contributions that they make. In this respect we operate an open door policy, allowing parents access to school at any time for informal discussions. Parents need to bear in mind that teachers are busy, but if there are any concerns over a child's education, an appointment can always be made to discuss this.
Parents can be involved in school life in more formal ways, by joining the Parent Council and / or Fundraising group - details of which you can find below. Parents also contribute to working parties set up by the Head Teacher, for example to look at the school travel plan, or indeed for the production of this handbook! Parents also run some of the activities in our Friday Citizenship Afternoons. Parents also assist with transporting children to events and informally in school working on displays etc.
